"Corner of Carl's Room" -- early 1900s

A photo that was recently sold by the eBay dealer "Gargantua" along with two enlargements -- a true bachelor pad (note the motto "Don't Marry")!

simply stunning!

I think this one is by Russ Warner. His face is just-so-slightly out of focus -- he must have barely moved just as Russ snapped the shutter! I'd love to find a full-length shot of this wonderful model.

The Man With the Million Megawatt Smile

Who else but Dick Dubois?

Good night, guys!

Pat Burnham by WPG

Pat must rank as one of Don Whitman's greatest models. Whitman is justly famous for his outdoor photography, but by no means was he a slouch in the studio, as this beauty demonstrates!

"National Geographic," huh? And I'm sure he keeps it by his bed to read the articles...

Herding Cats (2000)

The ESPN website places this commercial at #9 in their list of the best Superbowl commercials. I've had a soft spot for this one from the first time it was shown, and through the miracle of YouTube, I just saw it again for the first time in 9 years. I hope you get a kick out of this month's LOLcat!

For a good time, read Carrie...

Nothing to do with vintage here...

I learned from the AMERICABlog site tonight that famed actress and writer Carrie Fisher has just started a blog. While 99% of the world will always remember her for being Princess Leia in "Star Wars," I have always enjoyed her appearances in such films as "When Harry Met Sally" and "Soapdish" (not to mention "The Blues Brothers"), and her fiction and non-fiction writings are very open about her travails through life. The first few entries at her site were very much worth a read -- very real and very funny!

Just thought I'd pass this along to my buddies -- For a good time, read Carrie!
