Oops, I spoke too soon regarding Dennis Lavia's choice in underwear -- here's hunky Jim Paris sporting the same pair! (Sorry, Maciste -- I don't have a shot of Jim astride Willie the burro as well, but I'll keep an eye out for one!)
Alan, the chances are that these were Jim's own briefs... they were Jockey Skants, launched by Jockey in 1958, and were very popular with many models: Dennis Lavia, Joe Cali, Monte Hansen, Don Hawksley and little Johnny Davidson all did photo shoots wearing them. They were just about the briefest on the market and in solid colours, the nylon was very sheer and revealing, getting round censorship. I remember bullying my father into buying me a week's supply!
