Ken Dockter by AMG and Dave Martin

I had a request for more of Ken Dockter, which I think denotes a mark of good taste, so here you go, Titan!

Dale Curry by Lynch-Patrick

Who was/were "Lynch-Patrick?"  Got me!  But it's stamped clearly so on the back of the photograph.  Dale Curry needs no introduction, having been a popular model for AMG, Lyle Frisby, Fred Kovert and Spartan in the late 40s/early 50s.

Bob Delmonteque by Douglas of Detroit

Bob Delmonteque was a spectacular-looking man all his life -- I got to say Hello! to him at a gallery opening in 2004 and he was stunning at 85 years old! -- but the early photographs of him taken by Douglas Juleff truly presented an inner light that Bob would use to guide him throughout all his life.  Here he is, from the mid-late 1940s.  Superb!

Jules Bacon by Lon of NY

I can't believe I haven't posted any shots of Jules Bacon before!  The autographed magazine you see below is the latest addition to my collection -- and below that you'll see the uncensored version.

Hello there!

How have you been the past two years?  Mine have been... difficult.  But let's just take a moment and enjoy some photography after this long absence!

Back to the beginning of vintage physique with Tony Sansone --

Gerald Sullivan

Gerry was photographed by both AMG and Bruce of LA, but this looks like it could almost be a Milo shot. To muddy the attribution waters further, this photo has a DSI code number superimposed in the lower left corner, and was published in DSI's "Rugged" #1.

Sal Severino by Lon of NY

Sometimes I see Sal's last name as "Savarino" -- but more often with the "e" so that's the version I'm sticking with...

Keith Maynard by Douglas of Detroit

A neat example of double-exposure that Douglas Juleff and Bob Mizer (AMG) liked to work with...

Tom Cowans by Kris

These photos are courtesy of Timarxus and his blog "Black Muscle: 1940-1980" -- a really fantastic collection of black musclemen. Check him out -- unlike myself, he posts very regularly!! ;-)

unknown leather stud

I won this 4x5 photo on eBay a couple of weeks ago. No idea who the model is, or the photographer (maybe Avery Willard?) but the image spoke to me and I jumped on it.

Jean Ferrero's cover to International Nudist Sun 13

This magazine arrived in the mail today. Asian men in physique photography are so rare that my eyes nearly fell out of my skull when I saw this on eBay a couple of weeks ago. What a hot stud! If only I knew his name (and had more shots of him in my collection) -- alas, he only appears on the cover of this 1965 magazine.

Updated 3/23!

Thanks to Robin for sending along two more images of my new boyfriend, as well as a name -- "Domine." I love to have a name to go along with a face!

Dale Curry by Lyle

Lyle Frisby was a friend of AMG's Bob Mizer and shared many of his models.

early 1900s nude beauty

studio nude by Arax

I like this one, even though the position of the legs seems a bit awkward.

Jean Ferrero assortment

Some wonderful nudes by the incomparable Jean Ferrero, courtesy of our pal David!

I don't have names for any of these gents, except for photo #4 -- the blond is Frank Hollfelder and the brunet is Francois Rossi.

unknown by Dave Martin

From a large file of unidentified Dave Martin pics I stumbled across a while back. I love the fact that this young stud was so obviously VERY EXCITED during his photo session! Martin's nudes are among the best ever taken, but his capturing this specific moment makes this one stand apart from even his other gems.

Especially for Stan -- thanks for the wonderful surprise! -- I dedicate this photo and today's other posts.
