Gable Boudreaux by AMG

What bodybuilding used to be about -- pumping up your body to its full potential using iron barbells, raw eggs and lots of red meat! Maybe some protein mix in your milk, but anything else would be (and still is) cheating.

What you say is absolutely right! Bodybuilders didn't have the same opportunities for 'chemical enhancement' then as they do now, so they had to make do with natural raw materials and lots of sweat!

Guys like Gable Boudreau maximized their genetic gifts with hard work and ended up being more and more admired...though I wonder if Mae West had something to do with that.

Thanks for these visions of masculine beauty that can still serve as an ideal for aspiring bodybuilders.

He was Mr. Los Angeles, 1966.

The first picture (05.jpg) was the cover of Physique Pictorial Volume 15 no 4 which contains a numbering mistake with its number being written as Volume 15 no 3. The real Volume 15 no 3 has a cover by Tom of Finland.

Yes magnificent body and the transparent pouch conceals nothing. I guess it adhered to the letter of the law without preventing anyone appreciating his full body.
