Steve Reeves, John Grimek and Andre Drapp by Arax

A very nice competition shot from the 1948 Mr. Universe contest by France's leading physique photographer Gregor Arax. John Grimek was the overall winner, with Steve Reeves placing second and Andre Drapp in third. It looks like Andre thought he should have won, as he tries to claim a piece of the winner's podium. Maybe it was a bit of fun for his fellow-countryman's lens. In any case, John Grimek is taking it in (slightly blurry) stride...

hello: The pre steroids true body builders are the best, they had to prove a athletic skill in another sport to compete, their average bodyweight was around 170-190 lbs,yet these men could clean and press weights around three hundered lbs., they were real hercules's, I have been a natural trainer for many years and a porfessional art model (nude)once your out there it should not matter why some one is looking at you, after all could anyone model for anything with that worry? By modeling nude does not mean your gay or not gay, it shows you have the inteligence not to think it matters. Jesse

Jessie, you made an excellent point. I watched the movie,"Philadelphia" the other day and at the beginning of the movie the cameraman drives through Philadelphia photographing ordinary people waving at the car that the cameraman is in (maybe they had Tom Hanks waving at them?) Well I'm sure that they stopped to have all those people sign releases to use their image in the movie. I wonder if they would have signed if they knew what the movie was about? My point is that models have no control how their image will be used once they sign a release.
