John Corvello, Mr. California of 1965






A good-looking young bodybuilder who continued to model into the 70s...

He made two musclemag covers two years apart in 1965 and 1967 (though they look like they were taken at the same time), and ten years later bared all for Norman Eales in Playgirl Magazine (February, 1975) and for Roy Dean in his "A World of Nudes" (also published 1975). According to Classic Bodybuilders, he has done some TV and movie acting as well.

John Corvello was the best looking classic bodybuilder, bar none. He never went so far to attain the overpumped steriod look. He is listed in the credits for the movie Max Duggin Returns (1983) as the basketball coach. One is lucky to catch only one brief shot of him in the VHS release. With his looks, I don't understand why his acting career got no further than that. Maybe it was the nude pictures of him that slammed the door shut.
