Alonzo Hanagan was a New York-based photographer who specialized in nudes in the 40s and 50s. He was a prolific photographer for the mainstream musclemags of the 40s and 50s, and he published several physique magazines [of his own work] as well. Not all of his models dropped their posing pouches for his private shots, but a lot of them sure did -- just like Jerry here...
I'm happy to see that a lot of the models back then were uncut-in opposition with todays models...
ReplyDeleteHow can I reach the photographer, Lon, or find these images? This is my uncle.
ReplyDeleteFine group of handsome men and all well proportioned in EVERY respect. In my opinion men with large endowments are best photographed in posing pouches. A beautiful nude study can often be spoiled by the unwelcome sight of oversized sexual organs.
ReplyDeleteSome of us like to see guys naked whether they are Big or not, posing pouches just focus too much attention on the genital area, especially some of those tiny ones that reveal more than they conceal.
